FARMHOUSE ENAMEL POT CLOCK

The other day someone asked me, "How do I decide what projects to keep after I make them, and what ones do I decide to sell"? Great question. On average, I make about 4-5 projects every week. Most of my JOY, which you'll hear me talk a lot about, comes in the design and creation. It would be impossible to keep everything I make, and yes I do have my favorites. So if I really love something....I just make two! And that's what I did with these sweet little enamel pot clocks.
I scored these lil beauties at one of my favorite Goodwills here in San Antonio (who am I kidding, they are all my favorite haha) for only $2 each. Nothing speaks "Farmhouse style" better than enamel; better yet, enamel pots! Next I headed to Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon and picked up a clock movement part for under $5. This is the smallest one with a 1/4" shaft.
Next up, I literally used a sharp nail and found the center of my pot and pounded a whole through it. This won't be big enough, but it is your beginning point. Power tools are next on the agenda....I used my Ryobi cordless drill with a 1/2" spade bit and drilled through my little hole until it enlarged it enough to fit the shaft of my clock movement through the inside of the pot.
Optional step: on my larger pot I spray painted my clock hands black to make them pop! In hindsight, Turquoise would have looked awesome!
Follow the directions on the back of your clock movement pkg and assemble the hands. I made one with a second hand and one without.
Pop in a battery and you are done! Easy Peasy. Enjoy your Farmhouse Style Pot Clock and remember...
It's always 5:00 some where!
Tune in next week Thursday on My Crazy Craft Bucket List to see how I repurposed these 3 little lonely loaf pans.

Have a fabulous weekend..............Go find your Joy!
