Who doesn't love a piece of homemade pie with a nice flaky crust made from scratch? Well let me tell you, that isn't happening in my house anytime soon.......so instead, I put these pie pans and rolling pin to a much better use.......a Rolling Pin Tiered Tray! Hit up your local thrift store or Goodwill to score these items for next to nothing. I feel like I am a regular these days at our area Goodwills :)

This farmhouse style project comes together pretty quickly. The ends of my rolling pin were easy to unscrew and then I sliced up the rolling pin into 3 pieces with my miter saw (last year's Mothers Day Present). My favorite glue for this project is E6000. Over the course of 2 days I proceeded to layer my pie pans and rolling pin pieces together using the glue. It took me a couple of days because you want to give each layer sufficient drying time before moving on to the next layer.

I put this project off for awhile because I thought it was going to be much harder than it actually was.....It's nice when a plan comes together easier & quicker then expected. Another project crossed off my Bucket List!

Check out the pictures below of some other tiered trays I have had fun putting together.
