My favorite colors tend to change depending on the season. And during the summer season my 2 favorites have to be turquoise and bright pink! So when I set out to make this cute little corrugated tin flag, I used these 2 colors to blend in with my backyard flowers.

Walmart sells these tins for only $5.00-can't beat that. I sprayed the entire tin with Rustoleum white paint. Then I proceeded to tape off my 13 stripes as well as totally covering the square section for the stars. I used Berry Pink Gloss by Rustoleum for the stripes. Remove painters tape immediately. Allow your stripes to dry and tape off your square section; covering up your newly painted stripes to prevent any overspray. The most tedious part of this project was applying star stickers (Hobby Lobby) in a traditional flag pattern. Spray this section with Seaside Gloss (Rustoleum). Remove all tape and stickers immediately. Ok I lied. Removing the star stickers was the MOST TEDIOUS part of this project! Once dry, I sanded the edges a bit along with random spots to replicate some aging, this also will help if you had any mistakes with paint or tape. Spray with your favorite sealer. This came with a jute rope for hanging which I changed out with a twisted wire, or you could prop it up on a bench or amongst your flowers. Either way, enjoy your new Tin Garden Flag!
